Corvale
The store closed in 1985. You're still inside.
A video rental store that shut its doors — and a building that is the time machine.
One address, one floor plan, and the tenants change with the decade.
Made solo in Godot · No combat, no timers, no jump scares
The 1985 chapter
There's an old man behind the counter who won't let you past, a safe nobody has opened in years, and an arcade cabinet in the corner that was never meant for playing games.
One complete chapter
Start to finish, about 40 minutes. Seven puzzles that chain into each other, and no dead ends anywhere in them.
No padlocks
Nothing in this store is locked with a padlock. Everything is locked with something you haven't understood yet.
Fully voiced
Full voice acting in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with subtitles.
Three hints, if you want them
Nobody's counting but the game. Getting stuck is allowed — it's the point of the playtest.
Six eras, one building
The full game runs ~4–5 hours across six decades and about 28 puzzles. The 1985 store is the first of them.
Premium, one purchase
The finished game is a paid PC release. No episodes sold separately, no season pass.
Inside the store
In-game captures from Beta 0.4. Watch a tape and copy what the hand does; beat a high score that has been sitting there since before you were born.
The playtest is closed — and it's free
Because this is the first chapter of a much longer game, and I need to find out whether it works before building the other five. Access is by key, one tester at a time, so the feedback stays readable.
- Write to us and say you want in — one line is enough.
- You get a key for the itch.io page and the Windows build (about 300 MB).
- Play the chapter start to finish, roughly 40 minutes.
- Fill in the 4-minute form at the end. That form is the whole reason this build exists.
If you get stuck, please stay stuck and tell us where — that's worth more to us than a compliment.
